President of God's Daily Touch

Pastor Carl Baisie-Essel is a Friend of God, Pastor, author, and Christian leadership consultant.

His friendship with God began at age five (5) on an interesting note when he felt disappointed by his loved ones for being accused of what his brothers had done. After being disciplined for what he did not do, his mother met him, kneeling before a portrait of Jesus Christ, pledging to trust Him alone all the days of his life.

This would be a life completely devoted to intimacy with God from infancy. By around age twelve, he had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, spoken in tongues, and began his ministry as an evangelist amongst his classmates in school. He moved from one class to another to preach the gospel in junior high school and became the evangelism coordinator for Scripture Union Ghana, St. Anthony’s School Chapter.

It became his daily routine to walk for about two to three hours with God every evening, where he consistently engaged in sweet conversations with Him. He became addicted to God’s presence and His Word, studying the Bible for about six hours daily from 2007 to 2008. His entire life and ministry are founded on one focus: “Listening to the Voice of God and Walking in 100% Obedience” from John 2:5. It is natural to sense the sweet savor of God’s presence when you come into contact with Him.

As an Author, Ps. Carl’s writing grace became predominantly evident when he joined the Bible Study wing of the Ghana Methodist Student’s Union (GHAMSU-UCC). He later became the Bible Study coordinator and began to write Bible study outlines for publication for the entire union. He learned writing, editing, and typesetting skills and the grace to expose the Word of God. By the grace of God, Ps. Carl has authored a number of books, including Arise and Excel, God’s Daily Touch (7 different editions), Lust or Love, Aggressive Faith, and When God Prospers a Man, among others. His primary focus in recent times has been on God’s Daily Touch (GDT) Devotional, serving as a medium through which God can speak to His children daily through the devotional. GDT began online in April 2014 and has, for over 10 years, served as a platform for God’s Word to be offered in a seasoned, practical, down-to-earth, and inspirational way

Since 2003, Ps. Carl has been consistently involved in leadership across various sectors of ministry and general leadership. Some of his leadership roles include Evangelism Coordinator for Scripture Union Ghana (St. Anthony’s School Chapter), Preaching Group Coordinator at Mfantsipim Junior, later becoming President, Sacristan Prefect, and a member of the Mfantsipim Christian Council, Ex-Officio of Mfantsipim SRC, Bible Study Coordinator for GHAMSU University of Cape Coast (GHAMSU UCC), President of GHAMSU UCC, which had about 1,500 members, General Secretary of the Protestants and Pentecostal Chaplaincy Committee (PPCC), member of the Chaplain Board UCC, and Administrative Assistant of the Chaplaincy Board UCC., President of Christalive Outreach Ministry, student prefect at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), Pastor-in-charge of the Glorious Youth Church, Christian Education, Word Impact Service, and Leadership Development. He is also engaged in Training and Discipleship at the Fountain of Glory and is the Founder and President of God’s Daily Touch. Through these leadership opportunities, Pastor Carl has developed into an influential figure in the arena of leadership. He is currently pursuing a Master's and PhD in African Christianity with a special focus on Leadership.

He is married to Basi and are blessed with three children.
